Management reporting workshops are clubs of anonymous alcoholics
I’m XX and I have a drinking problem.
Person A: “I’m YY from department and I have problem.”
Person B: “But this is management reporting workshop”.
Person A: “It is all related, the problem I see from my niche affects everybody in company”.
Have you’ve ever been on workshops where most of time is spent on listening to a problem in certain organizational segment, small segment? Sometimes workshops look more like psycho therapy for employees, stress relief group for saying laud what is on the heart.
On business intelligence meetings from time to time nothing happens and time is wasted. Perhaps certain participants even know how to solve mentioned problems but are not in position to solve it or what is more often do not want to take additional burden which is currently overloaded. Colleagues that just cry on laud like to deliver monkey on the back to others.
