Lame and Itchy Data Warehouse Data Model

Whenever strategic management decision making process needs new data from existing company information systems it should be implemented quickly and information provided easily. But is it really so?

Problem is that every new requirement for information details might face limitations in data models in production systems or data warehousing.

If data model in DWH is not of excellent quality (state of the art), each new information requirement implementation will need time. Sometimes more, sometimes less, depends on configuration (quality) of data model in DWH.

If information for most management decisions need very long time for implementation it is the sign of possible itchy and lame data model in DWH.
