Reporting Feasibility of New Products
Product launch are always stressful events, especially with following requirement: “We want to launch product and quality reporting for corrective actions and further decision making follow ups.”
Well, new products might be tough to implement especially if marketing product is structured radically different then current ones. If it is not radically different then it is a kind of combination of already seen.
New products implementation phase have to deal with technical and reporting feasibility. Results of technical feasibility, technical solution through production systems, predetermines reporting feasibility.
Does new product change interface between systems? Does it change reporting model?
Those are two basic questions before implementation of new products or services. If answers are positive then new product is non standard reporting type and needs to be implemented in reports. Usally it is in separate reporting project with the lead from initiators, because… there is allways cute and innocent question.
Which CMO likes to stop product launch until reporting is being made?

Here comes the magic question… Since it is non standard reporting, who will take a lead in implementing reporting for new product? Initiators state that they gave specification …
but, their specification is allways too general and too fuzzy. That it is not implementable …
