Those workshops are very intense, and last almost day and night. Idea behind intense brainstorming is to deliver quality result that cannot be delivered if all important participants are closed on one place without disturbance. Key experts necessary for quality solutions are always sold out on everyday tasks. Therefore it is important to isolate them from the regular and irregular tasks, in other words to remove all kind of activities and to focus on the main gathering topic. This topic is usually of strategic importance for company meaning initiative will usually come from above and will force local managers to release experts necessary for think tank.
