Midterm planning

Basic principles

• Midterm planning should be done as a bottom up approach, but needs to be aligned with targets defined in strategic planning
• Forecasting and actuals should be basis for Midterm planning
• Midterm planning figures should be planned on higher level
• Midterm planning as operational planning must be a detailisation of strategy and top goals, but should also be done as a bottom-up approach
• Midterm plan should in general not be revised during the year, instead that should be done through regular Forecasting
• Enabling Controlling to make some adjustments in order to achieve company targets. Adjustments have to be done with approval of responsible person and communication of the changes to each relevant person in planning process
